GORINCHEM – The upcoming edition of Maritime Industry will be postponed to May 18, 19 and 20, 2021 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem due to the growing concerns regarding coronavirus. An earlier postponement to October 13, 14 and 15, 2020, has thus been cancelled. “The Dutch government has not yet imposed any further restrictive measures regarding the organization of trade shows. We ourselves were convinced that the trade show would take place, but the sentiment among our exhibitors has changed in the past few weeks. We decided to listen to our exhibitors and, therefore, have decided to postpone the sixteenth edition of Maritime Industry once more”, says Bianca van Grinsven on behalf of Maritime Industry.
Easyfairs has redoubled its efforts and measures, and operates fully in line with all safety and health guidelines, to ensure that an edition of Maritime Industry would take place safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. All conceivable protocols were ready to bring the maritime sector together in a safe and responsible manner.
“Since the press conference of August 18, 2020, we received more and more questions from exhibitors and visitors about the feasibility of a physical trade show in Evenementenhal Gorinchem. Due to the change in sentiment among our exhibitors, we have reconsidered everything with all parties involved. Unfortunately, this made us decide that we had to move the sixteenth edition once more. We have made this decision with a heavy heart, because of the impact it will have for all participating and related parties with all the preparations and affairs that have been set in motion. But at this moment in time, it is the only correct decision”, says Bianca van Grinsven.
The sixteenth edition of the trade show will, as usual, take place in Evenementenhal Gorinchem on May 18, 19 and 20, 2021. “In the coming period, we will contact all of our exhibitors and other parties involved. We will do everything we can to ensure that the postponement of the trade show will go as smooth as possible. It is with great enthusiasm that we look forward to the edition in May 2021!’, says van Grinsven.
