GORINCHEM – The trade show Maritime Industry will introduce an extensive program during its upcoming edition, which will take place at the end of May. “It promises to be another beautiful gathering of old acquaintances and new facces”. Not only the exhibitors provide a well-filled program, but this year the trade show is dominated by three theme days, each with their own interpretation. “And to top it all off, the trade show is back with a vengeance this year; The Ship’s Bar!”, says Malou Weststrate on behalf of the organization.
Knowledge sharing is central on the first day. Various knowledge sessions can be attended in the knowledge theatre. Themes such as pensions, digitalization, subsidy schemes and the modal shift will be discussed. The full knowledge program with spreakers, topics and times can be found on the website. Exhibitors also respond to the most current themes with their products, services and innovations. Netwerking is central here, and a drink and snack should not be missed. The Schip’s bar can also not be missed; an old Dutch café with a maritime touch and the sound of a sailor’s choir.
The Career Event will be launched on the second day of Maritime Industry. In collaboration with the Scheepvaartkrant, the organization wants to fill the gap between supply and demand. Graduates who are looking for an internship, as well as (young) professionals looking for a job and people ready for a career switch are welcome on the vacancy market. Visitors can also let their CV be checked by a professional or follow various workshops free of charge. Always wanted a professional profile picture? That is also possible! The Career Event is open on Wednesday May 24, 2023, between 13:00 and 18:00.
The last day of the trade show is dedicated to the “De Eendracht” foundation – the charity of this edition of Maritime Industry. As a non-profit organization, Stichting Zeilship Eendracht, together with its approximately 300 volunteers, is committed to literally offering the wind in the sails to young people, the underpriveliged, the sick and the eldery. With a length of almost 60 metres, a width of 12 metres and a draft of 5 metres, this sailing ship is the largest gaff topsail schooner in The Netherlands. They will tell their story during the trade show and raise funds in a fun way.
“With a very extensive offer and the new theme days, it promises to be a great edition. Preparations are in full swing and only 15% of the places on the exhibition floor are still available”, says Weststrate. The upcoming edition of Maritime Industry is on Tuesday May 23, Wednesday May 24 and Thursday May 25, 2023 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem. On these days the trade show can be visited from 13:00 to 21:00.
